The fifth of 5 Sunday sermons on the doctrine of the Trinity, delivered at St Mary's Kemsing during June and July 2020.
So far, we've looked at
- (week 1) the witness of the 4 gospels - Jesus is God, there is one God, the Father Son and Spirit are not the same,
- (week 2) the Father and the Son always work together (the first way to reconcile one God with 3 distinct persons), and
- (week 3) the Father comes first.
- (week 4) joining the family.
This fifth talk draws the threads together, and asks how an orthodox understanding of the Trinity is good news for us. We look at how God's power, God's love, and God being knowable all hinge on God being Triune.
