God willing (* see James 4:15) I will be speaking on an "Unlocking the Bible" weekend at Otford Manor, the fine home of the fine Oak Hall Expeditions, next weekend (November 18-20).
The weekend is on the New Testament letter of James, and I've just put the finishing touches to the introductory session. I'm getting rather excited at the prospect of spending a whole weekend in this letter with a group of people.
I'm not going to write out the whole introduction here. If you want to hear the introduction, you'll need to book on the weekend (see below). But I will give you the headings from the introduction.
Why should we read the book of James? Because …
- It's a book for practical Christians
- It's a book for rich and poor Christians
- It's a book for suffering Christians
- It's a book for compromised Christians
Want more? You have to be very quick, as they only have limited space available, but it would be great to see you there. Details are on their website.
