That's exciting news.

Phil Sowerbutts is to be the next vicar of Castle Church, Stafford. He starts after Easter.

Welcome to Lichfield Diocese, Phil - it'll be a joy to work near you.

Thank you for your welcome James - look forward to being close by! Institution is on Saturday 26th May in the afternoon if you're free - it's a rare opportunity to wear your nice black and white two-piece dress.

I'm pretty excited about this too. My grandmother went to Castle Church for many years and it'll be great to have someone teaching the bible in Stafford.
